Not sure If I am on the right number for these photos..Steve correct me if I am wrong. Steve my shooting buddy, from Spottswood photography is also doing the 365 day challenge. No it is not a weight loss program, Steve's in great shape. We are making it a point to shoot for ourselves a picture a day.

Yesterday was a splendid day for shooting, thus I have 4 posted...I just couldn't decide. There was this luscious fog blanketing down town Milwaukee, rolling in off the cold lake in the warm breeze.
We happened to be downtown for a rehearsal so it was fortuitous, that I had not done my shot of the day yet. Let me know which image appeals to YOU!

On this 21st day of shooting I spied a robin nest near our door, even though it looks like two it is quadruplets!

AFTER the race

I feel like my camera has become my purse during this exercise, when I leave the house I always take it with me.

Today's photo was taken during Connor's track meet. His strength and agility is evident as he flies over the hurdles.
Each day poses new technical problems and it is a constant reminder that when at a wedding I have to be aware of everything.

This Tree is like a tree of life, planted today it is scheduled to bloom every year around this time. Symbolic renewal in the form of beautiful flowers. I have always like magnolias, they seem semi exotic for the cold country of Wisconsin, a good choice for our tree planting ceremony today.

Art AND a movie...
today's photos were taken at the art museum while visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit.
Day 18 hmmm, I don't know if I can keep up the pace. Photo a day 365.

Last night we photographed Hartford's Prom...at one point I was searching for my photo of the day since I had not completed it as of yet..This is probably an indication of how the summer will go with this project.. I will always be a day or two behind. The photos are always taken on the day they should be shot, but they do not always get posted immediately.

"Sometimes life seems like a long road, it's better not to reach the end."

Milwaukee Wedding Photographers | Caitlin and Sam

Sometimes you just know when two people are meant to be together, that's how we feel about this couple. They just have fun being with each other, and they are already functioning as a team. Two creative people who reside in Minneapolis, they plan to wed October 8th. We cannot wait to take their pictures.

An entire day in the car and I was stuck shooting from the window. Our trip fro Tennessee began at 5:30 am and we drove all the way through to Madison Wisconsin, arriving around 5:30pm. Thus the industrial looking apparatus was shot from the car window on a bridge around Gary Indiana. The other foggy pond was taken on Peavine Rd, as we left Grandma's home.

A 6:30 am walk gave me these two images to add to the photo a day. Today it is supposed to be 89 degrees here in Tennessee. I love the sun and the warmth.

Visiting Tennessee for a couple of days, while at a park I spied these mud covered abandoned sneakers, they said more to me than the surrounding beauty.

Brrr...it was a cold walk this morning and nothing was looking interesting, so I decided to play with textures and color and post two abstract images.

Once again, I focused on just what was here, so tonight I celebrate the orchid in my living room.

I should have taken a picture of my husbands work worn hands after working outside all day trying to repair our fence.
Day 6 and counting...the end result will be a gallery show of the full years photos.

Milwaukee photographer | Kari and Doug

We had a chance to do some warm up photography with our first wedding couple of this season. Unaware that we would actually be sporting a camera and taking pictures, Doug and Kari are naturals. They are about to tie the knot on May 21st, in Milwaukee.

While out doing engagement photos we discovered this new spring in Lake Park. Needing my photo for the day I decided to walk back and get this shot.

Milwaukee Art Photographer | Cabinetry as Art

For some reason I missed getting this one on the blog... Charles Radtke has work in the Smithsonian, and I'm fortunate to be able to make images for him...

Whopps almost forgot with all of the things happening around here, and Osama Bin Laden news..

this is day five of the 365 shoot..360 to go..hopefully these will get a tad more interesting.. All I wanted to do today was stay inside and keep warm. So today's photo is viewing spring from the inside. I liked how the glass table made the pot float in space.

Today was a full day, Facets Fashions had a Trunk show here at our home/studio, many of my friends came out in support. Some of them became models for photos, especially those who came with moms.
My photo of the day was created for the daughter of another photographer, the subject, Elizabeth, was kind enough to humor my creative side while we waited for her mom to join us. Since the photo was taken while just having fun I thought it qualified for a photo of the day.

While hanging out here at the studio during our Open House, I decided to fulfill my photo a day.
With Charlie's help I did these whimsical portraits of the two of us.

Even if the Open House was not an overwhelming success, I enjoyed doing these pictures.

This is the second day of "take a picture a day challenge". I have already decided that my format throughout this assignment will be long and narrow. At the end of the year I will produce a MINI art show by converting the images to Moo Cards, and framing them.

These pictures are not special events, or special places, instead I am celebrating my own surroundings. Today I had an appointment at the clinic, and took the camera along for the ride. I love this grove of trees not far from our studio. They have extra meaning since this is where "Spottswood Photography photographed my son Jon and his wife Alice, last August on their wedding day. Their photography was fit for a KING. Had to say that in order to celebrate the wedding today of Kate and NOT---->Charles, OOOPS!!!! Freudian slip. Prince William

My good friend, Steven Spottswood has decided to challenge himself by doing a photo a day. I think he is on the right track, we all need to keep fresh, and see things that may be mundane from a whole new perspective. So Steven, "I too will take on the challenge to do a photo a day, even though we are about to enter our hyper speed season! Let's try to keep this going.."

photo #1..it's cold and miserable outdoors, but I just stepped to the patio, the wind created this design on my table.

Milwaukee portrait artists | Brody

It might be miserable outside, but Brody was perfect inside, just like a trained model he smiled as soon as he was placed in the lights! He is already 9 month old, hard to believe, and growing like a weed. I suggested he was going to be tall like grandpa, who came along today as an assistant, what a fabulous assistant he was! I may hire grandpa to blow bubbles on other photo shoots.
