Indiana Wedding Photographers | Jenna & Brad

The day finally arrived, Jenna and Brad have been planning for months, and you could say the planning was in the details. Special touches could be found everywhere, from the table decorations to the quilt squares, or how about the kids table, and notes written by the guests that were made to be read in years to come. The bride made her grand entrance down the isle from a door hand hewn by her betrothed.
Awesome venue for a wedding The Red Barn Experience, LaPorte, IN.

We are on site in La Porte Indiana for the rehearsal and wedding of Jenna and Brad. It was easy to capture the picture of the day just surveying the reception site for tomorrow. It's going to be an awesome venue in which to photograph! Can't wait till tomorrow.

These twin boys are packed and ready to go traveling. They will experience their first flight this summer on a family vacation. Now everyone knows that traveling with one can be a challenge, but with two..well..these are good kids they will have a great trip!

It's June! So I feel a bit like I am on a diet only with a camera.. forcing me to shoot a photo a day.
So it's appropriate that I took a picture of our dinner hot off the grill..mmmm black bean burgers, grilled zucchini, cold beer. It is definitely summer, at least until tomorrow when the temperatures are forecast to drop.

This months 365 challenge shoot will be done in a new format. SQUARE

You will be able to catch a glimpse of this hunk at the pool this summer. When he is at the University however, he is steeped in the theater. Kyle needed head shots for his portfolio, and I was more than happy to assist. The hardest part will be picking the best ones.

I see my neighbor in her window daily, when I catch her eye she gives me a wave, but often times she has her nose in a book. She is my photo of the day.

We had the privilege to photograph Brenda and Chris's wedding, it's been a while and they have been busy. There time is consumed by the Farm, the kids, the animals, and of course like everyone life in general. It is awesome that they take time to record their family at this moment in time.

I have already posted one image of this family, but when a group of 20 turns out this nice, we need to show it off.

At the end of the wedding while packing the car, I spied this shot. I need to get it posted so I do not get behind on the project. 3.6.5. On to a new month and a new format come June 1.

Milwaukee Wedding Photographers | Emily & Mike

Too much FUN!
We had the opportunity to spend yesterday with our groom Mike, and Bride Emily. They tied the knot after being together and dating a number of years. The party was terrific, great food, good beer, and of course the BEST family and friends. A real blessing for us to be able to share their day and their joy, our job was easy with these two lovers. Thanks Mike, I give you an "A" in the book for marrying such a wonderful girl.
Beautiful floral arrangements by Bank of Memories, and awesome DJ's from Sound by Design, the celebration was held at the Lakefront Brewery

Today's photo of the day was taken while scouting for places to take wedding party images tomorrow.

As a gift to their parents this family arranged a group shot before heading off to a nice evening together. Happy Anniversary to Arleen and Jim.

milwaukee engagement photographer | Tabitha and Matthew

We had the good fortune to meet Matthew at his senior show UW-Whitewater, thanks to Mike Held who introduced us. Both young men are very talented artists, good friends, and soon to be studio mates out in the Washington area.

Mike might be Matt's good friend but it is Tabitha that brings the sparkle to his eye. They are going to share vows at Camp Y Koda, an outdoor celebration July 30th. We look forward to recording this event and being part of their celebration.

While scouting a good site for our engagement pictures yesterday. I literally stumbled across a fawn sun bathing. At first I thought it might be dead, since I was so close and it didn't move.. when I squatted down eye to eye to take the shot, he jumped to his feet and ran. I guess I have never been that close to a deer in its own environment, but this is the problem with so many humans in this world, we are squeezing out the wildlife, they have very little habitat.

While scouting for our family shoot tomorrow, I discovered this view, a great tree, and the abstract is from the gloomy rainy day yesterday.

I am contemplating changing my format for the next month to a square just to add to the challenge.

milwaukee portrait photographer | Eric and Jess

One more shot now that I am looking at these files.. I really like this image too.
Thanks guys for being so willing and cooperative. (In the freezing cold darkness to boot)

A late night, which means my yesterday post happens today. Our evening out was all business, we met with colleagues who are constantly honing their skills. We often converse about our craft, but yesterday we each took a stab at placement and light arrangement with a wonderful and willing couple as models. Eric and Jess hit the mark for me with this pose, he looks rugged and pensive, she looks dreamy. Now that they have gotten their taste of modeling they may be contacting an agency!

Charlie grabbed a shot in the bistro location where we tried to warm ourselves after being outside in the freezing cold. I love the warmth of the light on Jan.

As Charlie and Joel talked about how to create a solar panel for collecting heat for the pool, I searched for my photo of the day.
