Run Connor!

Lately it has been a challenge getting to see Connor do his thing at a track meet, he did not disappoint today!

Reyce, was ready for her close up..maybe too ready.

So much for being a baby whisperer.. nothing was going to make Reyce close those big blue eyes. Although Holly and I tried! She must have been geared up for her modeling debut. Welcome into the world this beautiful little girl, who has mommy's eyes and nose.. (smile)

Milwaukee Wedding Photographers | Amy & Eric

This May wedding turned out to be spectacular. Amy and Eric had a first meeting in a little pine glen by the church, very fitting since their engagement took place finding their first Christmas tree together.

After a beautiful ceremony we ventured to the Pedal'rs Inn, in Wales, the Victorian Bed and Breakfast offered us a "movie set atmosphere", and gave Eric and Amy some outstanding photos that will become lasting memories. A special thank you to Dee, the owner/ operator of the residence.

With good food, close friends, and family helping them celebrate, this wedding was one of the best.
Congratulations to the bride and groom.
See a slide show of the days events here.

The slide show below is with a new software and we're not certain how it will be received, please leave a comment and let us know you're preference.

How to make a GROWN MAN CRY

Last May I was already struggling with what to get Charlie for Father's day. We all know that dad's can be difficult recipients of gifts. A woman accepts everything from lotions to diamonds and treats them the same, but a guy responds differently, lotion just wouldn't cut it.

In this recessionary period the keys to a new car, a wide screen TV, electronic devices, high end phones, these all add up to big bucks-they would get the results intended, but you would empty your coffers.

My suggestion is to do what I did, create a lasting memory-
* present him with a family portrait or gift certificate for a session
*design an image of you and the kids with meaningful words
* or do what I did, create a book of images, snippets of life matched with the words that have meaning.

Charlie cried....

Treehaven-camp for photo geeks

My daughter and I spent a meaningful Mother's Day and beyond at Treehaven in Rhinelander.

She studied with Hanson Fong, and I took the Hollywood lighting class. Here's just a couple of examples.

Milwaukee Wedding Photographers | Laura & Chris

How does this couple spell wedding? F-U-N!!!
The periodic drizzle didn't dampen the spirits of Laura & Chris, everyone rolled with the punches... and the shots of Jägermeister! (which took the place of a champagne toast) Safe travels to you two, enjoy your honeymoon.
Beautiful floral arrangements by Sonya's Rose in Jackson, and many thanks to Bill from Double Platinum DJ Service for a great mix.

Associate work

Kate, my daughter has been added to our staff, just as stated earlier, no two photographers will get exactly the same thing, so here are a few of her shots from the COLLECTION SHOOT OUT.

I think we are lucky to have her on staff. :) Not to mention how lucky I am to have her as a daughter.

Jenny- our other associate has her shots posted at http://gustophotography.blogspot.com/

special thanks go to "Miss Ruby" for providing dresses and to "Moss Floral Design"

Can't get enough....photography that is

On our last weekend before the big push-wedding season-I found myself applying for grants, doing back breaking labor getting the yard in shape for senior portraiture, and having fun with colleagues doing what we do best. Our enthusiastic group put together a shoot, and we will all have differing imagery, it's like a drawing class where everyone is drawing an apple but no two apples look alike, so for what it's worth I will post three of my favorite shots.

Special thanks to Miss Ruby for providing the dresses used, and Moss Floral Design for providing the flowers.

Perfect Pizza, Perfect Couple!

Becca and John are "foodies" they like to create epicurean delights, host great gatherings, and they know how to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. We were so lucky to be invited to their home to sample some of their creations, sip wine, and sit by a fire just like they did on the night that John broke out that beautiful ring.

Twins plus Jersey

Ever try to capture a look from twin one year olds and their three year old sister? I am willing to take any advice-even though not everyone smiled..Everyone was cute.

St Patty's day was a real celebration!

I know lots of people who will party on this birthday-Riley entered the world on Saint Patrick's
Day-same birthday as his pretty mommy- Erin! "herself & himself"

he's dreamin' of huntin' a bear.

Hard to miss....

You may not know us by our names, or our faces, but soon you will know us by our car. If you see this Roller skate of a car about town, you'll know it's Artists' Eyes on the go.

Special thanks to our brides and grooms-Katrina and Dave, Cara and Mike "we love ya"

We would also like to thank Foerster Signs LLC in Slinger for doing an awesome job

Family frolics and fun

Dynamics of the family change quickly when you add a second child. Tami and Mark can attest to this, we all laughed because taking an Easter picture became just a bit more challenging.

Two beautiful little boys are the light in their parents eyes. Just look at the waterfall of kisses between the boys!

Don't Forget Mother's Day!

As I was working on these photos today I could not help but think how beautiful they were-I am envious of any mother who gets such beautiful imagery from their family. Be it spouse or kids, remember Mother on Mother's day with the gift of photography.
