A great day for a wedding, these two had everything planned out so well, we had plenty of time to make some nice images, stop at Wally & Bees tavern on Freiss Lake for a drink, and still got to the reception 15 minutes early! Sometimes you just have to shoot for FUN

If it's your passion, it is necessary to save some time for yourself to shoot what interests you.

The North Woods have a magical childhood calling for myself and Charlie, we both had close relatives who ran resorts in the Vilas County region.

I made the mistake of going back up north earlier in August, and now I am hooked again. It is so quiet, and beautiful and the smells and sounds are different, everything is bursting with color.

Here's just a few images that we took.

Manitowish waters

Lucky enough to have the greatest weather, we made our business stops, and then have had some time to ourselves. There's something to be said for disconnecting. NO TV, means no bad news, no phone, and really this is the first time on the computer, so no work. We have taken some photographs, but that's not the WORK part of work. That's the fun part!

We are on the flowage between Rest Lake and Stone Lake and in Manitowish Waters WI, at the Hillcrest Resort, a stone's throw to little Bohemia where Johnny Depp filmed Public Enemy. We discovered Little Star Lake has a great beach, a fabulous place to take a dip and watch the sun go down.

Just a hair too early to see the cranberries harvested, mid to late September is the time to view those red berries being floated to market. A great time to be here though the air is warm, and the water is holding onto the summer's heat up, and there are virtually just a few people populating the area at this time.

We met on Friday for this engagement shoot, it was the beginning of a holiday weekend for us. Erin and Ryan were so much fun to photograph it was a great way to start off a mini vacation. Thanks for taking us to such a great location!

Holidays are really family days...

This family knows how to celebrate, Penny and Bob are responsible for the creation of this large family Unit! But The kids are responsible for putting together a day spent having fun and recording memories for a life time.

I have not seen Anna since her freshman year, it was a complete pleasure to be able to take her senior portraits today. She's a reader, and an artists, and a friend of the sciences. Best wishes to you Anna in the completion of your high school career!

October can't come soon enough for this adorable couple. Kate and Jeremy had smiles all around, even the dog chimed in. We had such a fun time at Petrified Springs, this beautiful location is like being a kid in a candy store for a photographer. We look forward to fall colors at the park. His mindset for now.. Football. Kyle failed to mention that he is the quarterback of HUHS team, I had to find that out from another client. Modesty is one of his strong points. :)

We BEAT the rain!

No foolin' around with Mother Nature, so luckily Megan arrived early and we got this shoot accomplished! My fingers are crossed for tomorrow's shoot that we will be as LUCKY.

BJ

Robert, better known as BJ, was a bit of a stickler because he has very sensitive eyes. His studio shots worked swell, but outdoors... we couldn't avoid the squint. Regardless of stumbling blocks, his images are very nice and he was pleased that the whole process was painless and quick!
