California or BUST/Milwaukee photographers on a quest

We began our sojourn in Las Vegas, but it was more than just fun and games, we participated in the worlds largest wedding photography convention. WPPI A convention that has given many photographers the education in business, shooting, marketing, and posing.

This year the most interesting speaker for me was Me Ra Koh, a shooter who has only had a camera for 7 years, yet her work in known all over the US. Even Oprah has held her work in high regard. She currently is appearing regularly on the Nate Berkus show. I found her words very inspirational, she was advising her audience to be confident and it would result in better work.

The above pictures were taken en route from Vegas to San Francisco. The coastal drive was breath taking.

Creative juices...

It's too cold to work in the garden, a slump time for photos, but the creative juices have to be funneled somewhere. Anyone interested in buying some earrings, I have too many now to wear myself.

Mothers and Daughters

Mothers and daughters can fight like cats at times, but when daughters are grown and understand the sacrifice mom has made, it is true enlightenment.

I think Abby has reached that point, or she would not have been so thoughtful when it came to getting mom's Christmas gift. Abby chose to have pictures take of her and mom, it will be a moment in time that is captured with beautiful images of the two of them. This was a real gift of love.

I finally got to see one of my favorite fellows-I was missing him over the holidays, but he is a world traveler, so he's about as hard to catch as mosquitoes. Today he had some training with the camera-notice the great picture he took of his care giver grandma! The kid's got potential, if only his subject cooperate. "tee he"
