Photography field trip

"Mooney", kinda like "slash" :) brought 19 great kids to our home/studio yesterday. We were ready for them....they had six photographers working with the groups: Learning about studio shooting, posing, lighting do's and don'ts, outdoor shooting, assignment shooting and work flow, retouching, and even a bit of history.

Special thanks to Craig from Craig John Photography-for freezing his bunz and fingers all morning long! Amy of Ardent Photography for providing the studio lighting sessions-I only wish I could have attended both sessions with these two great photographers.

Thanks to Mr. Kletti, who was the on assignment model, and the use of his garage while Carl taught the use of flash in the on the job setting! Thanks to Charlie the love of my life for all his support.

'Tis the season for little girls to get the photo's taken.

Kayla wasn't as smiley as the last time I did her portrait, but she is growing-- thus concentrating on new physical tricks--Like standing and soon walking.

Tennies Family, revisited....

Kids can be so unpredictable, but actually that's why they are so wonderful! These two are no exception, beautiful kids, with wonderful personalities all their own. I talked to Carter a bit about the big holiday involving the "S" guy... I think he knows what's in his future...Brooke, doesn't have a clue haha, but before you know it she will catch on! The holidays are great fun, I hope these pictures add to this family's lasting memories.

Taking advantage of the last of the fall color

Glad we did this shoot earlier today because the winter winds have begun to blow and I saw traces of snow. Jim's probably happy that we got this in too, just in time for him to run off to another football practice.

WPPA Elkart Lake

Having just returned from fall convention, it's time to reflect a bit on why I go to these things.

It's rare not to bring back some tidbit of information that you can use in your business, the problem usually lies in the fact that when do you get time to implement it. Of course clients are priority one, then tackling the list of ideas and how to use them to benefit what you are doing personally, and finally sharing. If I get a breather today I will type up some of the notes I took and jot down the resources I discovered to share with whomever is interested.
