Milwaukee Wedding Photographers | Casey & Nathan

Like we always say, you can't make a bad photo when working with material like this! These kids were an absolute joy to work with, and once again some of the brides maids were former students of Carol, so we were immediately part of the wedding party. We also had the pleasure of having no less than four previous brides in attendance -- thank you for all the referrals!

Milwaukee Wedding Photographers | Erin & Mike

Yesterday's wedding turned out wonderful, even though the weather initially looked doubtful, and the mosquitoes almost carried us away... That would have been quite a scene given the size of this wedding party! Best wishes to the newly weds!

Men and Cars...the mystique never ends.

Unsuspecting parents

These parents enjoyed watching the shoot take place of their high school aged son, never did they think the camera would be turned on them! Risky being around photographers :)

The bugs didn't even BUG them..must be love.

Some photo shoots are more challenging than others, in this one the mosquitoes wanted to get in the picture.

What we do on our days off from Weddings...

WE THROW WEDDING SHOWERS! Boy am I looking forward to the October wedding of Cara and Mike. For two reasons: I love Cara, and have since she was a baby, and I think she has chosen wisely! number two reason.. it will be a vacation and last wedding of the season for us, on the peninsula of Mexico. Here are a few shots from the party, and the gift opening, what a haul!

David lookin extra handsome

David and his mom stopped to get his senior pix taken before heading on a road trip to Michigan, since this day it seems the mosquito population has grown exponentially! We even had trouble shooting for 20 minutes at this location tonight.

Not even their anniversary!!

Holly twisted her husband's arm to get some updated images, they were cuter than engagement kids.

S'noway we could shoot in the rain.

Sometimes you have to make due..Ryan needs his yearbook shot and the rain was not letting up this afternoon, so it was a studio kinda day.

I said I wouldn't shoot animals...BUT.....

These little guys are so cute, but then Lauren's not bad either!!!

Milwaukee Wedding Photographers | Holly & Kris

Once again we got to make some pictures of an awesome couple who really know how to light up the dance floor. These kids were so much fun to work with, and very easy to photograph... hard to go wrong with material like this. Many thanks to Foz's for opening early and putting out a wonderful spread of snacks to help soak up all those great martinis!!

Erin

Hard to believe that this senior girl doesn't like to have pictures taken. My view, "flaunt it while you can, there'll be a day when you wish you had more pictures that looked like this!"

Katie

On a hot and humid day dipping your toes in the water can be refreshing. More refreshing was this smiley senior.

GIRL SCOUTS

These are not the little "Brownies" I remember...pretty sweet "scout" cookies.

Memorial...

This blog has usually covered the photobiz, but on a more personal note, my mother recently passed. I got a call from my oldest brother, just as we were heading out the door for our last wedding, telling me that the time was near. I made the decision to go to the wedding, because I thought what could I do, I would be helpless to do anything to change the situation.

The next days were spent clearing out her room in the nursing home, going through numerous boxes and albums of old pictures, preparing memory boards for display at the wake, and crying with my wife. It was that moment I realized how important our work is, when all I came home with were memories and a handful of photographs...

There's only so much time we're given on this planet, so find your passion, and make sure you live life to the fullest.

My son Carl best summed it up with his blog entry seen here.
